Analysts noticed that there was a decrease in the interest rates payable on 30 year fixed rate mortgages for this week. This information was released on Thursday after a survey was completed by the mortgage giant Freddie Mac.
Freddie Mac's survey showed that there was a decrease of the rate to 6.26 percent for this week as compared to 6.28 percent last week. Even though it is less than rate for the previous week, the rare for this week is still comparably higher than the previous rate of 5.81 percent during last year.
